For First and Second year children (ages 3 and 4)

In the Full Day Montessori Preschool program, children 3 and 4 years old begin their day at 8:30am with the children in the Half Day Montessori Program. During the morning, students in the program stay in the same classroom for all three years, developing a stable and secure relationship with their Directress (teacher).

They will gain confidence in their abilities through repeated successes, build independence as they practice and master life-skills, fine-tune their small and large motor muscles to refine their coordination, and learn order and sequencing to later complete complex math problems or write a story.

Language, Math, Science, and Geography are the academic areas of the classroom that children work in each day. Additionally, children form and shape their social-emotional skills as they practice working in small groups, learn how to problem-solve with their peers, and lend a hand when others need help.

From 11:30-12:30 all children in the Full Day program gather together to eat lunch.

Following lunch, the children in the Full Day program spend the afternoon together. The program takes place inside a Montessori classroom, providing children with opportunities for extended learning and exposure to the materials as well as further experience navigating peer relationships.

The children enrolled in this program will hone their problem solving skills, satisfy their intellectual curiosity, and learn social-emotional skills.

Children who need a rest period will be given the opportunity.
