2019 Primary Summer Camp

5 days a week                         8:45am - 1:00pm ($390/week)

(lunch class included and a hot lunch is available for an additional fee)

Primary Summer Camp is offered to children who will be entering their second or third year of the Primary Program this fall and to Ronald Knox graduates. Each week of Summer Camp will feature an engaging theme, which continues for a second week. The second week of a theme will include a fun theme-based field trip. Campers will also participate in swim lessons once per week. Field trips and swim lessons are included in camp tuition.

There’s No Place Like Space weeks 1 & 2

How far away is a light year?

Is the sun a star?

Does Jupiter really have 60 moons?

Your children will get answers to these questions and more as they are introduced to the enigma that is outer space. In this two week session, children will begin to explore and make discoveries about our solar system, our galaxy The Milky Way, and other mysteries of our Universe.

Mad Science weeks 3 & 4

Your children will become Junior Scientists as they
immerse themselves in all things science! They will delve into science activities, science projects and science games as they discover answers to scientific questions. They will learn that experimentation is not always exact, but it is fun and interesting to try predicting what will happen as a result.

It’s a Bug’s Life weeks 5 & 6

Children in this two week session about entomology will encounter lots of bugs, but they won’t need insect repellent to keep these creepy crawlers away! The world of bugs is a fascinating one; young bug enthusiasts will indulge their curiosity about bugs as they explore the world of insects through books, discussion, arts & crafts and other activities, both inside and outside the classroom.

It’s as Easy as π  week 7

Children are fascinated by numbers! We will have one week of fun (yes, really!) as we work on furthering problem solving skills, collaboration and team effort while fostering your children’s curiosity about math.
